Taylor Tweedy meets each client with empathy, acceptance, and positive regard. Her goal for each client is to have the opportunity to experience vulnerability and the joy of new experiences in a safe, and non-judgmental environment. She believes that through the encouragement of insight and identifying patterns of thought and behavior that clients are able to make the changes they seek. Taylor continually strives to support and empower clients to meet their needs in healthy ways and confront the patterns in their life that are impeding their happiness.
Taylor primarily pulls from Interpersonal Process Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to guide the client’s counseling experience. She works with a variety of clients ranging from children to adults, as well as families, with a particular focus on the adolescent population. Taylor has experience in treating a variety of struggles including anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, and relational conflict.
When she is not working with clients, she is most often found with her family and friends or curled up with a good book.
