Skyler Boehnke

Skyler Boehnke

Counseling Intern

Skyler is a graduate student at Palo Alto University completing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She primarily draws from person centered and relational-cultural theories, recognizing the importance of addressing both individual and systemic levels in counseling work. She values the wisdom clients provide from their lived experiences and strives to create an environment where they feel safe and respected exactly as they are, while moving toward their goals. Skyler has experience working for a crisis line that serves clients experiencing suicidal ideation and self-harm. She is a member of the Society for Sexual, Affectional, Intersex, and Gender Expansive Identities (SAIGE), a division of the American Counseling Association.

In her free time, Skyler enjoys reading, crafting, and playing with her dog, Scout. She drinks iced coffee nearly year-round and is always looking for new art to display in her home
