Life circumstances can be challenging at any point in life. Lori knows that empathy and kindness can be immeasurable during these difficult times. She pairs her life experiences with her education to create a safe and therapeutic environment for her clients. She is from a large family and knows the importance of family bonds. She specializes in relationships, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults. She works with the client to personalize each session to work together to provide the most beneficial treatment plan.
Lori is a graduate student at Walden University pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Theory and an associate degree in journalism from Spokane Community College. Lori believes it is imperative to the healing process for clients to be able to tell their personal story from their perspective in order to promote wellness and healing. She applies techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Humanistic Therapy and Narrative therapy; as well as implementing self-care and journaling to create a safe and comfortable environment for clients to thrive in.
In her spare time Lori enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Fun Fact: she has an identical twin. She loves to travel and read and is a food and wine enthusiast. She finds solace in running and participates in several races a year. She loves animals and has a golden retriever, Daisy and two cats, Rebel and Chance.
