Erin earned her Bachelor of Arts from Georgia State University where she majored in Anthropology. Following her undergraduate studies, Erin lived overseas in Okinawa Japan for close to five years and began her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. Erin’s training and education are focused on systemic therapy; considering all moving parts of a family, couple, or group in treatment.
Erin is thrilled to be a part of the Family Essentials team and enjoys working with broad age ranges and a variety of diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Erin’s life experience lends to a greater understanding of military lifestyle, cultural differences, and postpartum mental health.
Erin’s overall goal as a clinician is to facilitate equanimity or mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, for her clients. Erin firmly believes that the client is the expert of their own life and the therapist role is to offer perspective and additional insight.
In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time in the sun, in her backyard garden, and on the lake with friends and family. As a mom of two, she also enjoys moments of solitude and date nights at the symphony.
