Cheryl received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and a M.Ed. in School Counseling from Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. Cheryl is a licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMHC) and a Chemical Dependency Professional (CDP). She is actively involved with NAADAC, the Association for Addiction Professionals and a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC).
Cheryl believes we all need someone to talk to who will listen, not judge and accept us where we are. She uses a collaborative, strengths-based approach with her clients so they feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings. Cheryl believes in beginning a healing journey toward a more balanced self. She wants you to have peace, hope and make the changes you desire.
Cheryl uses a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative therapy, Interpersonal psychotherapy and Mindfulness. She believes everyone deserves the very best and tailors her approach to meet your needs.
Cheryl has experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families. Cheryl enjoys working with mood disorders, PTSD, LGBTQ issues, addiction and trauma.
When not working with clients, Cheryl keeps busy with family, friends and her home. She likes to read, write, work out, travel and ski.
