Mental Health Intern
Life’s path can be rich with meaning and promise, yet challenges and difficulties can sometimes obstruct our way. Brent’s passion is to give you the knowledge and skill that will empower you to face and to overcome life’s obstacles and to free you to live life at its best.
Brent has a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Southern California and is working toward completing a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. He has many years of experience working with individuals and will work collaboratively with clients in order to diagnose and treat emotional, mental and behavioral problems. Brent also has experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds and approaches each client from their own respective world view.
Brent believes that each of us is a work in progress, needing assistance in developing and growing to our full potential in life. Meeting each person where they are, he takes an integrated approach, utilizing different evidence-based interventions and theories that will facilitate the most effective therapeutic outcome. Brent’s therapeutic approach combines warmth, compassion and empathy to create a safe atmosphere for growth and change in each unique client. In addition to his work with clients, he also enjoys fly fishing, being active, music and being a husband, father and grandfather.
