Anne Mason, DNP, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Anne Mason is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). She received her Master of Nursing degree with a focus on psychiatric mental health nursing from Washington State University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from University of Colorado-Denver. After over a decade of practice Anne returned to school at Vanderbilt University and completed post graduate training in child and adolescent psychiatry. She holds board certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) as both an adult and lifespan psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and is licensed in to practice in Washington and Idaho. Anne has practiced as a nurse practitioner in psychiatry in correctional mental health as well as at a college counseling center before coming to Family Essentials Counseling in 2018.
Anne provides psychiatric services to clients who are attending therapy services at Family Essentials Counseling. Anne is in the clinic on Thursday’s and offers evening clinic hours to accommodate work and school schedules of her clients. In addition to her clinical work, Anne is an Associate Clinical Professor, DNP Program Director, and Coordinator of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program at Washington State University in the College of Nursing. She has taught at the University for over 15 years.
Outside of her clinical and academic work, Anne enjoys time with her family – her husband, 3 daughters and granddaughter. She loves animals and has several dogs and a cat. In warm weather she loves to go fishing, camping and boating. She is an avid reader year-round.
