Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Anna is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with enthusiasm for helping people improve their mental health and overall quality of life. She is a doctoral graduate of nursing practice from Washington State University with an additional certificate in nursing leadership. Her doctoral project was influenced by trauma informed care with an emphasis on nursing interventions for diverse populations in acute settings for adolescents.
Her clinical experience spans across inpatient and outpatient settings along with volunteer experience within community and residential programs in Washington state, with over 9 years in the mental health field. She has experience with children, adolescents, and adults in diverse settings with varying cultural backgrounds in individual, group and family therapy. Her specialties are working with individuals with anxiety, mood or psychotic disorders, ADHD, grief/loss, identity and gender issues, and PTSD.
Anna’s practice philosophy is both evidence based and client centered, working with clients to help them find stability of symptoms for health maintenance and life enhancing potential. Her use of the biopsychosocial framework integrates biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors to systematically understand an individual’s health and illness. She works with individuals of all ages treating a variety of mental health conditions incorporating individualized care plans, medication management, and complementary interventions.
While she enjoys working with all ages, her passion is working with adolescents and young adults; helping them navigate life and reaching their goals. Her view of mental health care is a partnership to develop a balanced, holistic care plan that will support each client in their journey of healing and growth.
In her leisure time she enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening and bountiful laughs with her three children.
