Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate
Adreanna received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho and completed her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Whitworth University. After finishing her bachelor’s and before starting her master’s she worked as a lead behavior technician working with children on the autistic spectrum in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, Adreanna conducts therapy through a systemic lens and believes that healing involves of awareness, acceptance, compassion, and security. involves compassion towards the self and others. Additionally, attachment plays a significant role in individuals how individuals connect throughout their various systems. She integrates attachment work with techniques from various theoretical models, including but not limited to Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Bowenian Therapy, Structural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Adreanna is a member of the AAMFT.
Adreanna believes that emotional awareness and expression are integral parts of the treatment process. She creates an environment that is safe, warm, and collaborative. She believes that each individual, couple, and family have the ability to grow and meeting their therapeutic goals. A central part of the nature of therapy is self-facilitated growth. Adreanna as your therapist believes that all clients have the ability to navigate through various trials and triumphs. While walking alongside her clients in their journey she wants to help clients build their own safe space that incorporates a non-judgmental, authentic, and flexible setting. Through the trust established in the therapeutic relationship she will encourage client’s self-awareness, self-acceptance, and overall insight that may aid in overall symptom reduction.
Adreanna works with couples using her training in Emotionally Focused Therapy, along with interventions from Gottman Couples Therapy. In addition to working with couples, she enjoys working with both individuals and families from different walks of life. She has had experience working with people with depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, trauma, sexual trauma, PTSD, family concerns, stress, blended families, and life changes. Adreanna has completed trainings in Emotionally Focused Therapy Externship, Level 1 of Gottman Couples Therapy.
When Adreanna is not in the office, you can often find her playing with her golden retriever, cycling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
